I graduated from the University of Derby with a 2.1 BA Hons in Creative and Professional Writing, completing the 2015 Derby Mentoring Award. I have written and published a childrens ebook called Pig. And have contributed to a compilation of short stories and poetry called Write Here Write Now. I have also researched and written content, for various blogs and websites. I offer proofreading and editing support to students. And I am an avid volunteer within the arts and cultural sector.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Theresa Sampson. I am a writer, researcher, and professional proofreader from Derby, UK.
As a young child Mum would sit me on the kitchen worktop, and hand me a wooden spoon coated with cake batter to lick. Trapping my fingers in a mandarin tin may have put me off the autumn coloured citrus fruit found hidden in the heel of a Christmas stocking, but it didn’t quash my curiosity surrounding food.
At night I would lie beneath the duvet in the dark, armed with a torch devouring books. Filling journal after journal with all my musings: literature, travel, wellbeing, theatre, arts, crafts, culture and of course food.
Tasty matters is an online edition following on from my childhood journals. Food, travel, wellbeing, arts and culture bind strangers, friends, families, communities and society. Let’s come together and chat tasty matters.
